The predacious mite, Macrocheles muscaedomesticae (Soop.) was reared under laboratory condition at 24±5°C and 65±5% R.H. on artificial medium Duration of the egg and immature stages as well as the life span of the adult female were studied and determined. Efficiency of M. muscaedomesticae (Soop.) in controlling some immature stages of muscaedomesticae L. and Drosophilla melanogaster keig. as well as the first instar Collembola spp. was indicated. The feeding capacity of the adult female of macrochelid mite on different stages was studied and discussed.
